Columbia Steel Returns to MINExpo International® in Las Vegas this September
Every four years, the global mining industry gathers at MINExpo International® to see the latest equipment, service and technology innovations. Unfortunately, the pandemic forced organizers to reschedule last year’s event. However, we’re thrilled to report that Columbia Steel is returning to MINExpo International® this September 13th-15th at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
This one-of-a-kind event is sponsored by the National Mining Association (NMA), the only national trade organization representing the industry before the government and the media. In 2016, the show included nearly 2,000 manufacturers, suppliers and service providers alongside 44,000 mining professionals from 127 countries.
What’s New at MINExpo® 2021?
This year, Columbia Steel representatives will be stationed at Booth 6055 in the Central Hall, showcasing two exciting new products we’re debuting for MINExpo®.
The first new product is our Hi-Output Mantle. Our patented mantle modification consistently draws material into the crushing chamber, producing a higher volume of crushed product and more efficient material flow than simple gravity feeding. If you’re facing productivity challenges, a Columbia Steel Hi-Output mantel could be the answer.
We’re also debuting a mechanical repair link, which solves the dragline chain downtime problem. Our positive lock snap ring system provides a strong, mechanical solution that’s easy to install and doesn’t require welding or special tools. That means quicker and simpler repairs versus friction-style assemblies. What’s more, depending on individual wear, users can remove the repair link during routine chain maintenance and reuse it as needed. Links are available in 1.5″ – 1.75″, 2″ and 2.5″ sizes.
In field trials, our mechanical repair link outlasted chain strands. We’re excited to show you all the possibilities this product will bring to your job site.
