Recognition for Columbia’s support of Blue Sky program
On June 10, 2016, PacifiCorp Account Representative Cheryl Carter visited Columbia Steel to deliver a Certificate of Appreciation for our 2015 participation in their Blue Sky renewable energy program. As a customer of PacifiCorp, Columbia has purchased wind power since 2005. In 2015 we purchased 1,171,200 kilowatt-hours of wind power, reducing our carbon footprint by 1,497,121 pounds of carbon dioxide. That’s the equivalent of reducing car miles by 1,615,633.
