Columbia Engineering Works (CEW) is a large machining and fabrication facility. It was created to handle the finishing of Columbia Steel castings, manufacturing of Columbia fabrications, and to be a regional center for the manufacture of industrial components.

We are prepared to undertake a broad range
of projects which require iron or steel
casting, fabrication and finishing. This
includes manufacture of machinery bases,
bearing boxes, retainers, rotating machinery
components, press platens, mine and milling
machinery, dredge machinery components,
utility thermal plant pulverizer parts,
and crusher maintenance parts, to name a
few.
We also offer service on complete assembled
subcomponents with interference fitting
and advanced tool machining on high hardness
materials, including martensitic cast iron.
We can combine heavy fabrication work with
ferrous castings, weld assembled, stress
relieved, machined and quality assured by
non-destructive testing, to the highest
industry specifications.
