Columbia Steel designs and manufactures a wide variety of steel and iron replacement parts for high-wear equipment, such as those that take abuse from abrasion, impact, or heat. Rock crushers, grinding mills, mining shovels and draglines, electric power plants, cement plants and recycling shredders are among the many applications we've served for decades.
Founded in 1901, all of our castings are manufactured by us in Portland and are never outsourced. Our current facility began in 1962, and has grown to cover 86 acres in Portland, Oregon, USA. Manufacturing facilities, including engineering, pattern making, and machining, now total over 450,000 square feet, creating a vertically integrated operation with all departments in-house to design, produce and assure quality.
Quality control is much more than a final inspection; it's a fundamental responsibility for all of us at Columbia Steel. We evaluate wear parts based on casting structural integrity, alloy selection and formulation, heat treatment, and dimensional accuracy of assembly and working surfaces. Once a sample part is tested and approved, its production continues to receive scrutiny by our Quality Assurance Department. Product performance tracking, manufacturing documentation, and our own high production standards mean our parts are guaranteed for proper fit, performance and customer satisfaction.
We're the wear parts craftsmen -- put our skills and expertise to work for your wear part solutions.
